Pinot Grigio fruit appears well suited to the low vigor ‘shale soil’ of The Finger Lakes. Their cool climate enjoys warm days which allow complete ripening while the cool nights retain the crisp natural acidity. The North Fork fruit brings strong varietal aroma and flavor and adds weight to the mid palate.
This Pinot Grigio is made entirely in stainless steel, with no malo-lactic secondary fermentation and no barrel aging. All of these techniques are to accentuate the vibrant varietal fruit aromas/flavor and to retain substantial crisp acidity.
Tasting Notes
Pale straw yellow in color, with a flowery fragrance, hints of grapefruit and pear are apparent in the aroma. Firm acidity gives the wine a mouth watering appeal, it has a pleasant mid-palate balance with a clean refreshing finish.
It is the perfect cocktail wine that primes the palate for food. It pairs well with all seafood, light pasta dishes and rice courses.
